Another collaboration between Plan Architecture & Plan Interiors—our clients wanted a modern organic home fit for their growing young family. A home meant for family parties and spending time all together, our clients’ objective was to create a spacious, healthy, sophisticated home with plenty of natural light to bring the outside in, and ‘wow’ moments at every turn.

Saratoga Springs

Set in the famed horse racing town of Saratoga Springs NY, this modern beauty boasts rich materials and a bright open floor plan. There is both a prep kitchen and a show kitchen, all the dirty work involved in meal prep and clean up can be stashed away in the prep kitchen while guests are over. The eat-in dining and family room area open to a large covered patio and pool creating an indoor/outdoor living experience.

This grand custom new build called for the highest level of finish. Each detail of the custom kitchen was poured over including the double islands, which features a seating island that is clad entirely in a rich green marble. The hood wall features 60” range with a custom vent hood with varied depths of calacutta marble. The full height cabinetry frames the windows and the glass cabinets are lined with walnut interiors.

A collaboration between Plan Architecture & Plan Interiors–we were handed a set of drawings for a spec home, and transformed this spec home’s lifeless floor plan into a custom-tailored space for a modern family. An open floor plan filled with natural light allows for easy entertaining. To top it off, we introduced a two-story home bar entertaining space that opens to an outdoor game viewing patio—any Eagles fan’s dream!

In this new-build home, we wanted to create an opulent, elegant, fresh take on a traditional kitchen for a family of 6. The foyer features a mouth-blown frosted glass chandelier suspended from blackened brass handmade chain. A fresh take on paneled walls includes a double stepped square profile to reference traditional architecture without the visual weight.

Nestled at the end of the foyer hallway is an intimate reading nook featuring a custom floating channel tufted mohair bench and natural wood parquetry wallpaper.

Oriented between the family room and mudroom entry to the home, the kitchen features a walk- through pantry and curved eat-in area. Custom beaded inset painted and white oak cabinets with walnut interiors line the walls. The countertops and backsplashes are comprised of honed Mediterraneo marble. State of the art appliances are neatly hidden away behind custom millwork panels.

This custom new build home was all about bringing out the modern in modern farmhouse. Earthy white oak tones, mixed with grey, white and blue set the palette for the first floor of this home. Along with repeated lighting elements, this repeated color schemes creates balance and harmony throughout the entire main living space.

We were tasked with renovating two spaces simultaneously. One was an empty loft space over a port cochere to create a teen hangout, and the other was the full scale renovation of a basement to create a sophisticated entertaining space.

In the basement the request was for a space that could be used as their son’s hangout and could accommodate a basketball hoop, ping pong table and gaming console. While also being able to be sophisticated enough to host adults. This was achieved through a sleek color palette blending all the spaces together seamlessly.

The loft space was renovated to accommodate a study/tutoring area, a tv lounge, and built in nook bench. This space will be the place where kids land after school and needed to have a bright bohemian aesthetic.

Oak Ridge, NY

Working with Caruso Builders in Oak Ridge, NY, this home is no speculative home. Having received numerous awards, our architecture and interior teams created this unique home balancing modern and current design with traditional equestrian style. With Saratoga Racetrack in it’s back yard, this home’s polished interior uniquely balances rustic and modern in an innovative way. Playfully modern lighting, statement architectural openings and carefully sourced artwork make this home a live-in retreat. The architecture and interiors fit perfectly together to create a home that is all together trendy and light.

Morris Township, NJ

Our clients were searching for an architect on a national scale and selected Plan Architecture for their abilities to elegantly and consistently integrate Architecture, Interiors and Construction Administration into a modern home; a style not typically found in Northern, New Jersey. Tucked deep into its site, we studied natural views, the path of the sun, topography and wetlands to locate this home on a natural perch. The L-shaped floor plan makes equally meaningful spaces on the exterior of the home, as it does on the interior. These open living plans are clean-lined, and effortlessly make entertainment easily accessible to natural light.

Closter, NJ

Working very closely with Welington Gomes and his company, SJ Pools, we created this entertainment-forward new home. Delicately threading the needle through stiff zoning requirements to create this cutting edge home, the interior boasts an open floor plan while the exterior is much more formal. Blending modern detailing and style with traditional forms, this asymmetrical home feels both unique and familiar solving unique floor plan configurations as they relate to this site. With a total livable square footage of 5,000 square feet, the design intentionally presents much larger through clever use of width and the L-shaped configuration to achieve a lively rear yard!

This recently completed 2,500sf single family five bedroom three bath home is the prefect summer retreat for this young New Jersey family looking for a shingle style inspired vacation home.

This renovation features the majority of the first floor. The clients main concern was cohesion.

It was clearly expressed that every room should spill right into the other. This was achieved through the use of a restrained tonal grey color palette. The foyer welcomes guests with a sculptural console table and frame, from which you can see beyond to the family room. The family room features a quarter matched pietra gray feature wall, large comfortable sectional seating, swivel chairs and ottmans. This space flows seamlessly into the open kitchen with touches of traditional shaker elements and iconic modern design pieces. The living room which is the most formal of the spaces features a bar, baby grand piano, game table and two velvet sofas flanking a calacutta vagli fireplace surround.
